Release 1.14 — Release Notes
This release introduces some notable new features and quality-of-life improvements. The notes are organized by audience so you can jump straight to what's relevant to you.
General Features
- Browser push notifications. Users can now opt in to receive notifications directly in their web browser, in addition to the existing email and text options. Manage this under your notification methods.
- Send Feedback. A new Send Feedback option is available in the menu, giving you a quick way to rate the software and share suggestions with our team directly from within the application.
- Improved account creation and sign-in. Behind the scenes, account creation has been made more reliable and now supports signing in with Apple, in line with Apple's requirements.
- Refreshed reset-password experience. The reset-password screens have been redesigned to be clearer and easier to use.
- Refreshed two-factor authentication screens. The authenticator setup and verification screens have a cleaner look, along with fixes to make two-factor setup smoother.
For Reseller and Support Administrators
- Reseller support information. Resellers can now provide a support phone number and support web address. When set, this contact information is shown to the users they support, making it easier for people to reach the right help desk.
For Administrators & Managers
New features
- Location Shifts. Locations can now define one or more named shifts, each with its own start and end time (for example, a morning and an afternoon shift). When creating an opening or a leave request, you can pick the shift instead of entering times by hand, which keeps times consistent across your location. Every location has at least one shift, so existing locations continue to work without any setup.
- Overnight assignments. Openings timeslots can now span midnight — an assignment can start on one day and end early the next morning. This makes it possible to schedule overnight and late-evening coverage that previously had to be split.
Notifications
- Staff notified about substitute activity. Staff are more consistently notified when a substitute takes, withdraws from, or cancels an assignment, so you're kept informed of changes to coverage without having to check manually.
Filtering & finding things
- "Next 60 Days" filter option. The global date filter now includes a "Next 60 Days" option, making it easier to look a little further ahead at a glance.
- Filter controls on the Location Assignment grid. The global filter controls are now available on the Location Assignment grid, where they were previously missing.
- Category filter on mass cancellations. When cancelling assignments in bulk, you can now filter by assignment category to target exactly the openings you mean to cancel.
Configuration & controls
- Clearer substitute hour limits. Hour-limit settings now include explanatory text and clarify that limits labeled "Monthly" apply per month, with the related help link easier to find.
Smaller improvements & fixes
- Easier-to-read grids. Lists and tables now use alternating row shading, making long lists easier to scan.
- Stable, predictable list order. Lists now keep a consistent order even when several rows share the same value, so items no longer appear to jump around between views.
For Substitutes
- Better experience on small screens. Many pages — including account, assignment, and opening screens — have been updated to work and read better on phones and small displays.
- Browser push notifications. You can now choose to receive notifications right in your web browser, alongside email, text, and voice. Turn this on under your notification methods.
- Overnight assignments. Assignments that run past midnight are now supported, so you'll see late-evening and overnight openings displayed correctly across a day boundary.
- A better experience on your phone. Many screens have been improved for small displays, making it easier to view openings, manage your assignments, and update your account on the go.
